1. 일반사항

본지는 대한직업환경의학회의 공식 학술지로서, 본지의 목적은 산업및 환경의학 그리고 이와 관련되는 분야의 원저, 종설, 논단, 단신, 증례 등을 게재하는 것이다.

모든 원고의 작성은 국제의학학술지 편집위원회에서마련한 Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (Ann Intern Med 1997;126:36-47)에 따르도록한다.

1) 원고게재 여부 및 게재순서

모든 원고는 직업환경의학회지 심사규정에 따라 그 분야 전문가집 단 중, 3인 이상의 심사를 받은 후 편집위원회의 심의를 거쳐 게재여부를 결정한다. 채택된 원고의 게재순서는 심사완료 순으로 한다.

2) 중복게재

이미 다른 학술지에 게재된 내용의 원고는 투고할 수 없으며, 본 지에 게재된 원고를 임의로 타지에 전재할 수 없다. 단, 한글이 아닌 다른 언어의 독자층을 대상으로 외국에서 발간되는 학술지에 이차출 간을 목적으로 하는 경우에는 편집위원회의 결정에 따른다.

3) 게재료

청탁원고를 제외한 모든 원고에 대하여 소정의 게재료를 받을 수 있 다. 도안료, 특수인쇄 그리고 별도의 별책제작에 소요되는 비용은 저자가 그 실비를 부담하여야 한다.

4) 편집위원회의 역할

원고송부 및 편집에 관한 제반 문의는 편집위원회에서 하며, 원고 중필요한 때에는 편집위원회의 결의로 원문에 영향을 미치지 않는 범위 내에서 자구와 체제 등을 수정할 수 있다. 모든 원고는 제출 후에반환하지 않는다.

5) 저작권

본 학회지에 게재되는 모든 원고에 대한 저작권은 대한직업환경의학회가 갖는다.

6) 의학윤리

사람을 대상으로 연구된 모든 원고는 대상자의 신원이 노출되지 않도록 비밀을 보호하여야 하며, 사람을 대상으로 이루어진 실험적 연구는 대상자의 동의가 있어야 한다.

2. 학술지발간 및 원고접수

본 지는 3월 31일, 6월 30일, 9월 30일, 12월 31일 등, 연 4회 발간하며, 원고는 편집위원회에서 수시로 접수한다. 원고의 접수일은 원고가 편집위 원회에 도착한 날짜로 하며, 원고의 채택일은 심사가 완료된 날짜로 한다.

3. 원고투고요령

  • 1) 심사용 원고 투고시 모든 공동저자의 동의서를 함께 제출해야 하며교신저자(corresponding author)를 명시하도록 한다.
  • 2) 심사용 원고는 원본 파일 1개, 그리고 저자의 성명 및 소속이 나타나지 않은 상태로 저장한 복사본 파일 1개 등 2개 파일을 편집위원회실무자의 논문접수용 전자우편 주소로 제출한다. 원고는 표제지를 포함하여 제출한다.
  • 3) 심사용 원고는 한글로 맞춤법과 띄어쓰기를 정확히 하여 A4용지(212X297 mm)에 2열 간격(double space) 또는 줄간격 200%로가로쓰기로 작성하며, 좌우 및 상하로 최소한 2.5 cm 씩의 여백을두며, 10포인트 활자로 작성하여야 한다. 학술용어는 대한의사협회발간 의학용어집 최신판을 따른다.
  • 4) 논문의 순서는 제목, 저자(소속, 성명), 영문초록 및 색인용어, 본문(본문의 순서는 원저의 경우 서론, 대상 및 방법, 결과, 고찰, 요약 순으로 하고, 종설의 경우 서론, 본론, 결론, 요약의 순으로 하며, 증례의 경우 서론, 증례, 고찰, 요약의 순으로 한다.), 감사의 글, 참고문 헌, 표, 그림으로 한다.
  • 5) 심사 완료 후 최종게재용 원고는 원본 파일 1개를 심사용 원고 제출시와 같은 방법으로 제출한다.

4. 원고작성

1) 표제지

표제지에는 한글 및 영문제목, 한글 및 영문으로 된 모든 저자의 이름, 소속기관, 연구비 지원 등의 후원자, 교신저자의 이름, 주소, 전화 및 e-mail주소를 기록한다. 한글제목이 30자가 넘거나 영문제목이 15단어가 넘을 때는 표제지에 요약제목(running head, 국문은10자 이내, 영문은 5단어 이내)을 따로 제시해야 한다

2) 초록

한글원고에는 영문초록을, 영문원고에는 한글초록을 사용하며 길이 는 영문초록의 경우 250단어 이내, 한글초록의 경우 400자 이내로 한다. 초록은 목적(Objectives), 방법(Methods), 결과(Results) 그리고 결론(Conclusions)의 4항목으로 나눈 규정된 형식을 사용한다. 단 종설의 경우 예외로 한다. 색인용어(Key words) 2개 내지 6개를 영문초록 다음에 첨부하며, INDEX MEDICUS의 주제색인(MeSH)에 사용되는 단어를 쓰는 것을 원칙으로 한다.

3) 저자

논문 저자로 원고에 나열한 사람은 저자로서 자격이 있어야 한다. 각 저자는 연구 내용에 대하여 공적(公的) 책임을 질 수 있을 만큼 연구에 충분히 참여한 사람이어야 한다. 저자 자격은 1) 연구의 기본 개념 설정과 연구의 설계, 자료의 분석과 해석에 공헌, 2) 초고(草稿)를작성(drafting)하거나 지적(知的) 내용의 중요 부분을 변경 또는 개선하는데 상당한 공헌, 3) 최종원고의 내용에 동의할 수 있는 경우등에만 있다. 저자 각자가 연구에서 무슨 일을 맡았었는지를 편집인이 질문할 수도 있다. 저자수는 7인 이내를 원칙으로 한다. 저자수가7인을 초과할 때에는 공동저자의 역할 분담에 대하여 진술하고 편집위원회의 인정을 받아야 한다. 저자 수정은 원고심사 중에는 사유서를 제출하여 편집위원회의 인정을 받아야 가능하며, 원고채택안내문 발송이후에는 어떤 경우에도 저자 추가를 불허한다.

4) 본문

  • ⑴ 약자약어는 표준약어만 사용한다. 논문제목과 초록에는 약어 사용을 피한다. 본문에 약어를 처음 사용할 때에는 정식 명칭을 먼저 쓰고 괄호 등을 이용하여 약어를 표기하며 이후에는 약어만으로 표기할 수있다. 일반적으로 통용되지 않는 약자는 가급적 사용을 피하는 것이좋으나 표준 측정단위의 약어는 예외이다.
  • ⑵ 고유명사, 숫자 및 측정치의 표기인명, 지명, 그 밖의 고유명사는 가급적 원어를, 숫자는 아라비아숫 자, 도량형은 미터법을 사용한다. 온도는 섭씨로, 혈압은 mmHg로기록한다. 혈액학적 또는 임상화학적 측정치는 국제단위체계(International System of Units, SI)방식의 미터법을 사용한다. 측정수치와 단위표시는 띄어 쓴다.
  • ⑶ 요약 항목영문 초록과 같은 형식으로 A4용지 1매 이내로 작성한다.

5) 그림∙표

그림(Figure)∙표(Table)는 영문으로 표기하며, 첫 단어의 첫 자만대문자로 쓰고 나머지는 모두 소문자로 표기한다. 표 안의 내용도 동일한 원칙이 적용된다. 표는 수평선이나 수직선을 넣지 않고 작성한다. 본문에 인용한 순서대로 표에 번호와 간단한 제목을 붙이며 제목은 원칙적으로 약자를 사용할 수 없다. 항목에 대한 설명은 각주에넣고 표제에는 넣지 않는다. 표에 사용한 비표준약어는 모두 각주에서 설명한다. 각주에는 기호를 써서 설명하며 기호는 다음 순서로 사용한다: *, †, ‡, §, ∥, ¶, **, ++, ‡‡. 그림∙표는 본문 뒤에 순투 고 규 정서대로 일괄적으로 첨부하며, 본문 중에 그 위치를 표시한다. 표는 7개 이내로 작성하며 이를 초과하는 경우 편집위원회의 허락을 받아야 한다.

6) 참고문헌

참고문헌의 인용은 영문으로 표기한다(단, 영문이 없는 경우 영문으로 번역하고, 문헌 제목 뒤에 translated by 번역자명을 삽입한다). 한글로 작성된 참고문헌은 말미에 Korean)이라 표기한다. 참고문헌의 기재순서는 본문에 인용한 순서에 따라 번호를 붙여 나열한다. 참고문헌의 인용번호는 ∙∙∙1). ∙∙∙2,3), ∙∙∙1-5) 와 같이 표시한다. 참고문헌은 INDEX MEDICUS에서 사용하는 체제에 따라 다음에 나열한 예를 따르며 다음에 예시되지 않은 사항은「생의학 학술지에투고하는 원고의 통일방식」의 표기 방식에 따른다.

7) 본문의 항목 구분은 1, 1), ⑴, ① 순으로 하며, 표와 그림을 제외한본문은 인쇄매수 10면 이내로 작성하는 것을 원칙으로 한다.

8) 위임사항

기타 본 규정에 명시되지 않은 사항은 편집위원회의 결정에 따른다.

The Korean Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS Revised January 1, 2008

1. General principle

The Korean Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine is published by the Korean Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and intends to publish original contributions relevant to occupational and environmental medicine and related fields in the form of original articles, review articles, a forum, a short letter, case presentations, etc. Manuscripts of whole articles follows the "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals" (Ann Intern Med 1997;126:36-47), made by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.

1) Decision of publication and publication order

The decision to publish any manuscript is at the sole discretion of the editorial board's deliberation after it has been judged by 3 or more experts in the field. Manuscripts are published in the same sequence as acceptance.

2) Overlapping publication

Our journal will not consider manuscripts that are simultaneously being considered by other journals. Redundant (or duplicate) publication is publication of a paper that overlaps substantially with one already published in print or electronic media. Secondary publication in another language, especially in other countries, is justifiable, and can be beneficial, provided all of the following conditions are met.

3) Publication fee

The publisher can be paid the publishing costs of the manuscripts except requested ones. The author should pay the actual costs that used for the design, special rinting, and publishing supplement.

4) The role of the editor

The authors are free to ask the editorial board any questions about manuscript application and about editing in general. The editorial board retains complete editorial control over the entire original article, to any extent that the board considers necessary. Manuscripts are not returned after submission.

5) Copyright

If the manuscript is accepted for publication, copyright of the article shall beassigned to the Korean Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

6) Ethical considerations

Patients have a right to privacy that should not be infringed, and they must give written informed consent for all experimental research.

2. Publishing and application

The Journal of the Korean Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine is published four times annually on the 31st of March, 30th of June, 30th of September, and 31st of December. Manuscripts may be submitted to the editorial board at any time. The date of manuscript received is the day when the manuscript is delivered to the editorial board and the date of manuscript accepted is the date when deliberation passed.

3. Submission procedure

  • 1) The informed consent of all collaborating authors should be enclosed with the original submission, which must also include full contact address for the corresponding author.
  • 2) Manuscripts for review are submitted to the e-mail address of the dministrator in the editorial board, and should comprise two files, one the original file and the other a copied file on which the name (s) of the author (s)and the affiliated organization (s) do not appear. Manuscripts are submitted with the title page.
  • 3) Manuscripts should be written in Korean or English, following the rules of spelling and word spacing of the corresponding language, be typed in double-spacing or line space 200% on A4 (212×287 mm) paper with horizontal writing, keeping a border of at least 2.5 cm in every direction with 10-point type. All medical terms written in Korean terms should be referred to in the Korean medical dictionary (published by Korean Medical Association).
  • 4) The sequence of the manuscript is follows: Title, name(s) of author(s), affiliated organization(s), abstract in English (for manuscripts written in Korean) or in Korean (for manuscripts written in English), key words, article, acknowledgement, references, tables, figures.
  • 5) After the review has finished, final version of the original file for the manuscripts should be submitted in the same manner.

4. Manner of manuscripts

1) Title page

The title page of the original file contains Korean and English titles, bilingual name(s) of all authors, affiliated organization(s), supporters (i.e. research funds support), name(s) of corresponding author(s), complete mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address. For Korean titles over 30 words and English titles over 15 words, a running head might be presented (Korean, within 10 words; English, within 5 words) additionally.

2) Abstract

If the manuscript is written in Korean, an English abstract of under 250 words should be included. If the manuscript is written in English, it should include a maximum 400-word Korean abstract. The abstract (requirement for structured format) should provide the objectives, methods, results and conclusions except review article. Below the abstract, the authors should provide 2 to 6 key words. Terms from the medical subject headings (MeSH) list of Index Medicus should be used.

3) Author (s)

The author (s) shown in the title page should have certain qualifications. Each author should be the person who contributed enough in the research to be formally accountable to the content of the paper. The qualified authors are limited to those who 1) directly participated in the conceptualization of the research, study design, data analysis and interpretation, 2) writing a draft or contributed significantly to major intellectual modification or improvement in the manuscript, or 3) consented to the content of final manuscript. The editors have the right to ask each author for his/her contribution in the research. The number of authors should be within 7 people. When this number is exceeded, the role of each co-author should be described and received an approval by the editors. While a manuscript is under review, the correction of author is possible upon the approval of the editorial board after the reason for such a change is provided. But any changes in authors would not be admitted after the manuscript acceptance is notified.

4) Main body

  • (1) Abbreviation Only those standard abbreviations are used. The use of abbreviation is avoided in the title and abstract. When an abbreviation is used for the first time, it should be stated in parenthesis following the full term. And this term could be written abbreviated afterwards. The use of not so often used abbreviation should be avoided except the abbreviations of standard measurement units.
  • (2) Proper nouns, numbers and measurements Personal names, places and other proper nouns should be reported in the original language, numbers should be in Arabic, measurements of length, height, weight, and volume should be reported in metric units, temperatures in degrees Celsius, and blood pressures in millimeters of mercury. Hematological, clinical chemistry and other measurements should be reported in International System of Units, SI. Measurements and units have an intervening space.
  • (3) Summary The summary should be written in the same language in which the manuscript is written and should provide the same structure as the abstracts within an A4 page.

5) Figures and tables

Figures and tables should be expressed in English. The first word of a figure and table title is written in capital letter and the rest in small letters. The same principle is applied to the content of a table or figure. Tables are prepared with no horizontal or vertical dividing lines. Tables accompanying a brief title are placed as they appear in the main body of the manuscript. No abbreviation could be used in tables. The explanation of an item in a table or figure is placed as a footnote but not in the title itself. All non-standard abbreviations and figures used in tables are explained in footnote. When symbols are used for the explanation in footnotes, the symbols are used in the following order: *, †, ‡, §, ∥, ¶, **, ++, ‡‡. Tables and figures are placed in the end of the main body as they appear in the main body, and referred in the main body. The number of tables should be within 7 tables. When this number is exceeded, authors should be received an approval by the editors.

6) References

Reference quotations should be typed out in English. Korean title should be translated in English and inserted translated by a translator's name after English title when there is not English title. References written in Korean are indicated by writing (Korean) at the end. References should be numbered according to the order in which they appear in the text. The number of the references should be indicated in the text as …1), …2,3), …1-5) . References should follow the next example of format that is used in INDEX MEDICUS, and any cases not covered by the following examples should follow the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (Ann Intern Med 1997;126:36-47), made by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.
